Walkabout Carriers provide what no other carriers can;
both portability and power to carry most any electronic musical
instrument. Using either audio or MIDI wireless, there are no
cables, allowing the musician complete freedom of mobility
for live music
performance.
While targeted at the school music market,
Walkabout Carriers have unique overlapping
benefits for all performing musicians.
Walkabout Carriers provide electronics to the
mobile/marching drummer, and mobility to the electronic drummer.
Now marching bands and drumlines can add new color and texture
to their performance with digital sounds, sampling, sequencing, and other MIDI applications.
Electronic drummers can now roam the stage and join in the choreography or simply dance, drum and sing along with the other musicians at the front of the stage!

Walkabout Carriers are made of lightweight, but rugged aircraft quality aluminum, in a
comfortable,
ergonomic, yet aesthetically pleasing design.
The basic powered carrier weighs approximately 10 - 12 pounds. A backpack style waist
belt is included for
comfort and helps to secure the unit to the body during the rigors of
live performance.
The battery charge lasts from 3 to 4 hours allowing considerable performance time depending
upon the
current draw of the electronic instrument being used. An extra 'back up' battery is
included, along with a
battery charger, and tool kit.
Basic carriers are powder coat painted in a scratch resistent black textured finish. Other colors
are
available at an additional cost. Custom colors available in lacquer finish.
