Explore creator & production setups

Keep your screen part of the action

When your content takes you away from a desk, a laptop can still be useful for chat, stream controls, reference material and production notes. WorkAbout supports a compatible device in front of you, so you do not have to hold the computer in one hand just to keep the screen available.

For an influencer recording on location, the workstation can keep a script or shot list within reach. For an IRL streaming team, it can provide a place for the laptop used to manage the broadcast. The right configuration depends on the devices and software in your workflow.

Plan the complete streaming setup

WorkAbout is the carrier and workstation. A camera, microphone, computer, streaming software, batteries and internet connection are separate equipment choices. Confirm device fit, access to ports, ventilation and cable routing before mounting your setup. The carrier does not provide internet connectivity or camera stabilization.

Support your camera crew on location

Production coordinators and camera crews can use a compatible laptop or tablet for schedules, shot lists, reference images and communications. Adjust the workstation position around the task and check the total weight of your device and accessories. The WorkAbout carrier itself weighs approximately five pounds.

Check fit before choosing a carrier

Send Walkabout your device make, model, dimensions and weight, plus any accessories you want to use. The included attachment kit uses high-strength Velcro adhesive; confirm the mounting arrangement for your equipment before ordering.

Hands-free means the carrier supports the workstation. Typing, using a trackpad or controlling a stream still requires your hands. Choose an appropriate place to operate your equipment and follow the setup guidance.

Looking for the laptop harness in Brothers?

Texas Monthly’s September 23, 2026 premiere review describes Matthew McConaughey’s character wearing a laptop-stand harness in Brothers. The carrier shown in the scene is not a Walkabout product. WorkAbout is Walkabout Carriers’ own wearable laptop workstation.

If that scene sparked your interest in a wearable laptop stand, explore WorkAbout’s adjustable workstation for compatible laptops and tablets. Check your device fit, mounting arrangement and intended use before ordering.
